About Us
ADL Final Mile was built on a foundation of grit, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to the customers we serve, values instilled by the legacy companies whose merger created us.
Capital Express, founded by Monte O’Hara in 1987, earned a trusted reputation in pharmaceutical distribution throughout the Midwest, delivering time-critical shipments with precision and consistency. ADL Delivery, founded by the McCallum family in 1999, became a recognized leader in wholesale automotive logistics across the Southeast. In 2003, Thomas D. Jowers joined as a partner, bringing visionary leadership and a relentless focus on service excellence that accelerated the company’s regional growth.
When these two companies combined their expertise, infrastructure, and customer-first philosophies under the ADL Final Mile name, the result was greater than the sum of its parts, a platform defined by reliability, flexibility, and the operational depth that shippers can count on.
That foundation has only grown stronger. Through organic growth and carefully selected acquisitions, ADL Final Mile now spans 27 states, 80 markets, and three major regions: Southeast, Midwest, and Southwest. Each company that has joined our family has brought specialized expertise, deep market knowledge, and a shared commitment to service excellence.
In January 2024, Sonic Delivery and Logistics expanded our network capacity and operational strength. In November 2024, Henry Industries added deep expertise in pharmaceutical, healthcare, and distribution logistics, reinforcing our position as a trusted partner for the industry’s most regulated and time-sensitive shipments. In August 2025, DMC Logistics significantly strengthened our Southwest footprint, bringing proven pharmaceutical and healthcare delivery capabilities to that region. Most recently, the January 2026 addition of Xcel Delivery, one of the Southwest’s leading on-demand providers, expanded our ability to meet the speed and flexibility that today’s final mile demands.
